Considering working with our dietitians? If you're curious about what to expect, here are a few common questions you might have in mind:

DO YOU OFFER DIRECT BILLING?

Yes! We now offer direct billing to a growing list of insurance companies. When you book online, simply add your insurance details and we'll take care of the rest! Learn more about direct billing.

WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY?

We require 48 hours notice for any appointment modifications. A late cancellation fee (50% the session) will apply with notice under 48 hours. Missed appointments or no-shows (less than 4 hours notice) will require full payment for time reserved. Thank you for understanding.

DOES MY INSURANCE COVER ME?

Registered Dietitian services are often covered by your health benefits plan. Speak with your insurance provider to determine what coverage you qualify for. We offer direct billing and dietitian services are a tax deductible expense.

WHAT ARE THE FEES/PRICING FOR SESSIONS?

An initial consultation is 1 hour and the fee is $190. Follow-ups are 45 minutes and the fee is $165. Meal plan pricing ranges, please see our meal plan page for pricing.

HOW DOES THE DISCOVERY CALL PROCESS WORK?

Our Discovery Call process involves a free 15-minute phone call with one of our dietitians. During this call, we focus on:

  • Explaining the consultation process and what you can expect.

  • Discussing your health goals 

  • Addressing any questions you have about direct billing options.

  • Answering any other questions you have.

WHAT IF I WANT A MEAL PLAN?

Great! We offer a meal planning session with a Registered Dietitian. During this session, we'll gather essential information through key questions to craft your ideal meal plan.

Alternatively, you can order a meal plan directly online. Upon ordering, we'll send you a Meal Plan Assessment form via email, which allows us to tailor your meal plan to your preferences and needs.

DO I REQUIRE A DOCTORS REFERRAL?

No referral needed to book an appointment - self referrals are welcomed!

WHERE IS YOUR OFFICE LOCATED?

We have locations in Edmonton AB, Calgary AB, and Halifax, NS. Our clinics are run 100% virtually, serving clients across Alberta and Nova Scotia. With this virtual model we found clients have greater access to our services and have more success and accountability.

DO YOU OFFER IN PERSON CONSULTATIONS?

No, our clinics are run fully virtual, but we do provide in-person Workplace Wellness programs.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DIETICIAN AND NUTRITIONIST?

A dietitian is a registered and regulated health professional with specific education and training in dietetics, while a nutritionist does not necessarily have the same level of regulation and may have varying degrees of education and qualifications.
