Position: Registered Dietitian 

 

Position Type: Contract - Casual, Part-time

 

Location: Remote Alberta

This position is casual/part-time (4-6 hours per week) with the opportunity for quick growth. Position is remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home.

 

About You:

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Dietitian with a strong work ethic and excellent client care skills. 

 

  • You possess expertise in the areas of gut health, weight loss, chronic disease management and more.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong counselling skills with the flexibility to tailor approach based on the client’s needs

  • Able to translate scientific nutrition information into practical recommendations

  • Evidenced-based personalized approach to nutrition care 

  • Ability to work with a diverse client base with varying nutritional needs and cultural backgrounds

  • A coachable attitude, open to feedback and continuous learning.

  • Self-directed able to working independently 

  • High level of professionalism and reliability

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, trust, and loyalty with clients

  • Strong organizational skills to manage client schedules and administrative tasks effectively

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proficient problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Compassionate attitude to meet clients where they are and provide support, guidance and motivation to help them achieve their goals

  • A client-centered approach that maintains excellence in customer service

 

Dietitian Role & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition and health assessments

  • Develop personalized nutrition care plans and goals in collaboration with clients

  • Provide tailored nutrition care to individuals, couples, and families, including ongoing assessments and adjustments to nutrition care plans

  • Perform counselling and education tailored to dietary goals and behaviour change

  • Maintain and enhance professional competencies through self-directed continuing education

  • Independently manage your schedule, including booking follow-up appointments.

  • Complete administrative duties such as charting and emails

  • Facilitate nutrition presentation as needed

  • Write blog articles

  • Create personalized Meal Plans with use of our meal planning software

  • Achieve performance goals by maintaining and growing your client base

 

Required Education:

  • Registered dietitian with FULL registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta 

  • Successful completion of the CDRE exam

  • Successful completion of accredited dietetic internship program

  • Bachelor of Science in nutrition from an accredited university

  • 1 year counselling experience as a registered dietitian

  • Proficiency in English

  • Liability insurance or willing to obtain

 

Addition Requirements:

  • Use of personal computer

  • Use of personal phone

  • Reliable internet access

  • Professional home work environment for conducting video consultations

  • Some evening availability
